To find the best Christmas gift or simply to share a hot tea, the stalls of artists and artisans are grouped together in the middle of town. Musical performances and the visit of Father Christmas make for a cosy and warmhearted atmosphere to tackle the first winter frosts.
In the historic borough and in the tiniest corners of Jerusalem Road artists and artisans sell their finest wares to visitors. Their tables are laden with gift ideas, for presents to put under the Christmas tree or just simply as a treat to oneself.
The period of Advent is traditionally a time of sharing and of getting together with friends and family. Amongst the tempting aromas of spiced bread, cinammon tea and the traditional mulled wine, visitors have all they need to warm their hearts and to soak up the festive ambiance.
The magic of Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a visit from Santa, who might be quite imposing at first glance but who knows a thing or two about lending a listening ear to children armed with present ‘wish lists’ !
