Chablais AOC – five terroirs, one appellation. Vineyards surround the region of Aigle, Leysin and Les Mosses.
In the valley, vineyards extend as far as the eye can see and also creep up the hillsides. The town of Aigle and the village of Yvorne are the flagship locations for the Chablais AOC appellation. Wines created from the Chasselas grape variety are the region’s emblem, to be drunk and enjoyed in chilled wine vaults or on the sunny terraces in the middle of the vineyards.
In order to learn more about all the winegrowing riches of the area, Aigle’s Château is home to the Vine and Wine Museum where 7 interactive exhibitions put the spotlight on the daily life of the winemaker. A special wine trail which wends its way through Ollon, Aigle and Yvorne is also a magnificent way to appreciate the winegrowing scenery and to take part in an interesting wine quiz.
