The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut regional nature park epitomises the synergy between man, nature and culture. A veritable testimony to secular culture : pastures, barns with wooden shingle roofs, villages with rich history and bridges that span the Sarine river.
Even today the locals from this region celebrate their connection to their roots with a myriad of public festivals which respect age-old traditions. Above all they count their blessings for being part of an enchanted landscape. Landmarks include the natural reserves of the Perreuse and the Vanil Noir.
The Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut regional nature park offers many discovery trails: the GRAND TOUR OF VANILS is a 11 day hike for experienced walkers.
The Park also runs an events programme offering guided tours observing the fauna at mid-mountain level, on the trail of architectural heritage in the villages as well as a tour of the nature reserves.
