In the areas around Aigle, Leysin and Col des Mosses, cyclists power through spectacular scenery on these legendary roads. Bikes eat up the kilometres at a slower rate so cyclists have time to absorb the exceptional panorama whilst getting an adrenalin surge from the sheer physical effort of the ride.
It’s not by chance that the Tour de Romandie has finished several times in Leysin already, that the Prologue has come through Aigle or even that the « Great Loop » of the Tour de France has come over the Col des Mosses on more than one occasion.
The roads from the valley to the mountains are a vast playing field. With calf muscles in overdrive, amateur and experienced riders clock up the kilometres on steep gradients for the optimal training workout.
For a simple ascent or for the legendary loop taking in the 3 mountain passes of Col des Mosses, Col du Pillon and Col de la Croix, these regional roads require an effort equally as magnificent as the surrounding landscapes. Once at the finish line, the reward lies in the sublime alpine panorama.
