Yvorne is one of the largest winegrowing communes in the canton. Its vineyards are renowned throughout the country and also internationally.
Its reputation for both white and red wines is second to none. The Commune of Yvorne produces 7 vintages, the most notable being the « Chasselas du Clos de l’Abbaye » and the « Clos de l’Ombren ». There are also 4 specialities including the « Mondeuse » and the « Œil de Perdrix ».
Wines produced by the vineyards belonging to the Commune are aged and bottled on-site in the basement of the administration building at the heart of the village. The Commune of Yvorne also has its own winetasting cellar in the « Grappe » building.
