Septik features seven intertwined bodies, deformed and imperfect characters, beautiful and fragile.
Pilgrims who do not know each other meet in an inn on the eve of their departure for Canterbury Cathedral in Kent. This is the beginning of a series of stories told by these characters from different social backgrounds in medieval England.
The Canterbury Tales are stories with drawers; a narrator bears witness to the actions of the pilgrims, who themselves take the floor to tell stories. A world filled with devils, fairies, gods, mythological characters and animals with words. A crossroads of the imaginary, stirred by music, song, masks and shadows. In a language that shifts from crudity to poetry, the verbal jousts between the characters are interwoven and delicious.
A show by Julie Meyer by the Bleu Café company in Vernier based on the stories of Geoffrey Chaucer.
