Espace Graffenried - Conference

Jan 28, 2021
Aigle - Conférence

In connection with the exhibition proposed by the Espace Graffenried, a lecture entitled "Eugène Burnand: Nature for Religion" is given by Philippe Kaenel (UNIL).

"Eugene Burnand. A travers champs": "A Waldensian artist known both nationally and internationally during his lifetime, Eugène Burnand (1850-1921) was a draughtsman, illustrator, engraver and painter. The exhibition "Eugène Burnand. Through the Fields" is the result of a collaboration between the Eugène Burnand Museum in Moudon, his native land, and the Espace Graffenried in Aigle. Far from being a retrospective, it proposes a journey through the different techniques and subjects of the artist's predilection. The exhibition also reveals newly restored drawings as well as works recently acquired or deposited at the Moudon Museum. February 4, 2021 marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Eugène Burnand. »
