At the heart of the Cloisters district in the town of Aigle, the Cloisters Wine Cellar welcomes clients for a meal or for an aperitif. In the vaulted function room or on the terrace, Séverine and her team serve tasty seasonal dishes accompanied by wines from the Chablais Wine Cellars cooperative.
Chef Steve, a real character from the Périgord region, lets his culinary imagination flow with the change of seasons. Based for the most part on both French and Swiss gastronomy he is also known to slip in an exotic dish from time to time. Séverine adds her own touch of Brittany which is reflected in the delights on the dessert menu.
Above the restaurant a vaulted reception room can be reserved for meetings and private functions allowing groups of up to 60 guests to enjoy their own private space for a special occasion. Menus can be adapted to suit group requirements.
In summer, the terrace is a great place to have a drink with friends. Out of view from the street, this lush terrace gently shaded by awnings is a delightfully hidden sanctuary where the Cloisters bell swings nonchalantly back and forth overhead.
