Located on the shores of Lake Léman, the vineyards of Villeneuve total 63 hectares.
Villeneuve is the smallest of the appellations in Chablais in terms of size and it also incorporates the neighbouring municipalities of Noville and Roche.
It has a temperate climate and its winters are less harsh than in the rest of Chablais due to its close proximity to Lake Léman. Villeneuve could almost be part of the Riviera but is in fact the sunny gateway to Chablais.
In olden times Villeneuve’s white wines were often recommended by doctors for their diuretic properties in the relief of renal problems. Moreover the locals of the time were fond of saying « the wine that’s drunk in Villeneuve stays in Villeneuve ! ».
