The Viticultural Cooperative Society, founded in 1907, today comprises 35 owner-winemakers.
Planted in terraces on the rocky limestone hillsides overlooking the lake, the vineyards bask in a unique microclimate in the hollow of the mountains. Sheltered from the cold bise wind and enjoying the warmth of the Arvel Mountains, they are rendered temperate by the light foehn wind. Wines are ensured of a subtle equilibrium from the setting sun. 70% of wines cultivated in this region are Chasselas, 20% Pinot Noir and Gamay and 10% other specialities.
Based on Pressoirs Road, the Viticultural Society’s huge warehouse contains sophisticated equipment and can stock some 140'000 litres. There is a special cellar to welcome groups of visitors, reservation only.
