Located just above Aigle, Yvorne’s vineyards cover 160 hectares.
Yvorne, with its 160 hectares, is the largest production area in Chablais and as such is the biggest winegrowing municipality in the county. Yvorne’s singularity is in its terrain.
In fact a violent rockslide on 4th March 1584 crashing down from the Tour D’Aï all but totally destroyed the village. The resulting debris makes up this unique terroir.
It gives the Chasselas those quintessential character traits that have made this tiny wine producing village one of Switzerland’s most famous appellations.
