At the foot of the Vaudois Alps, the Chablais is a region of sun-soaked vines, with a wealth of natural and cultural attractions. Ideal for wine enthusiasts, the Vine Trail takes visitors on a walking tour of the vineyard cellars and main tourist attractions of this beautiful region.
From Yvorne to Lavey-les-Bains, via Aigle, Ollon and Bex, the 23,7 km Vine Trail takes nearly 8 hours to complete. Walkers can choose to divide it up into stages, giving them a chance to savour the regional delicacies and spend a comfortable night in a guest house. Accessible from April to October, the marked trail passes through the most stunning vineyard scenery, with welcoming wine cellars offering tastings of local wines. Mostly flat, with public transport options, the route is accessible to all and takes in key tourist attractions like the Château d’Aigle and its Vine and Wine Museum, as well as the Bex Salt Mines or the Lavey-les-Bains spa centre.
